Home-Start Ashford & District is governed by a board of trustee volunteers taken from the local community bringing together a wide range of experiences and skills.
Board members are responsible for;
- The strategic direction of the scheme
- Ensuring the scheme complies with its legal and regulatory requirements
- Employing and managing staff, marketing and fundraising
Trustee volunteers come from all walks of life and no specific qualifications are required. Trustees receive an induction and are introduced to staff and other trustees and volunteers to gain a good understanding of the whole organisation. There are regular opportunities to attend local, regional and national training days and relevant events.
